I order a front Pella door with side lights from Lowes. Apparently I made a mistake when I told them I had 2x4 wall gap. Instead I had a 2x6". I can get a wood jamb extension but i was informed that Pella can not get me a replacement bottom door sill/. I had Lowes and even Home Depot try and get me a Bronze sill?. They were told no luck.. If you make a mistake or something happens when your installing your door Pella will not help you out'. Your on your own.. Fortunately Home Depot contacte Jeld-Wen doors and they can send me a sill to correct the mistake?.DO NOT buy Pella they will not come to the consumer's aid". With Pella doors you better not run into a problem... 1287bc5

The Pella entry door is designed in a way that the entire door jamb sits on top on the sill and fastened/sealed in a way so your door won't leak and jamb won't rot. You can't just call up and expect the sill to be pulled off like a window lock. Some expectations are rediculous. |

If you decide you want to do the installation make sure you understand how to measure correctly. Your mistake is a major one and the neither lowes or pella are responsible. |
